JUICE - OFFICIAL FONT FOR "RENDEER, THE FINAL LEAP!" EXHIBITION

Happy Monday everyone! Well it's May 23rd, and two days ago was my birthday, but, yeah. Nothing goes really special except that i was receiving an email from a subject called: Rendeer Exhibition. I don't have any clue of it until i opened their email to me.
They wrote that Rendeer is the final exhibition for 20 graduating Limkokwing University students in Malaysia, and they informed me that JUICE, my own font, is going to be their official font for everything 'Rendeer' !!! Woot! Surprised, yes i am! I thought nothing and then i opened their 'under construction' website, and here it is:


Well lets just see what will happen to my font there - watch this space ;)

JUICE FONT USAGE ON LUX TVC

I dont believe this. Last night, i saw my JUICE font being used for LUX TVC. I know, i know, it freaked me out. I just don't know whether i have to be happy or angry but surely i'm excited!!! Here's the sneak peek:

But every good news, must be followed by bad news :(. As you all know, i uploaded the JUICE Typefamilysets on dafont.com so people can download it for free. And its already been downloaded for 91,274 until yesterday. I know, its too late, but the LUX TVC representative have not contacting me for the usage of my JUICE font on their commercial. As the type designer, i feel dissapointed for what they've done (or maybe, what they have not done). At least they can drop me an e-mail or something, i suppose? Remembering i have put my e-mail under every JUICE download link on the net, i really appreciate if someone could drop me an e-mail or just for saying "Hi, i use your font on blablabla..."

Well, there's a lesson in every scene, so i can only enjoy the tvc for now.

Enough said. I don't know what you guys are going to say, may be i'm too obsessed by my font, but i am really happy right now. As i opened my hotmail inbox, then there it is:

As fast i knew what it is, i opened the typographyserved website and there it is:

What?! Two featured for one day?! I can't even ask for more! My eyes got popped again, and the first thing i do was post this good news here on my blog :D Maybe you want to see the prove, click here.

Today i got an e-mail from the guy in fontsquirrel.com that my JUICE fonts are up for download on fontsquirrel.com. For those of you who have no idea what in the world fontsquirrel.com is, Font Squirrel scours the internet in search of FREE, highest-quality, designer-friendly, commercial-use fonts and presents them for easy downloading.

Oh-em-gee. Yesterday i was checking my Facebook account and then there it is. My friend told me about the news. My font, JUICE, was featured on one of Abduzeedo's Fresh Free Font #33 !!!
WTH. I just so freakin' excited!!! 'Nuff said.

I'M ON BEHANCE NETWORK

Yesterday i was sending my request for Behance Network, the world's leading platform for creative professionals across all industries. There you can share your portfolio to the.. um, rest of the world, i suppose? So today when i was checking my hotmail, and there it is :

UPDATE ON JUICE : JUICE REGULAR IS READY FOR DOWNLOAD !

It's been a while since i don't check my dafont account. So i get curious about my JUICE font since i 'left' them. After i checked it, i got a pretty good news. No, it's a really good news, actually. My JUICE REGULAR font, is ready for downloads.
Others was JUICE Light and JUICE Light Italic, can also be download here.
The other news is, my JUICE fonts was downloaded 20,943 times till yesterday. Wow, that's huge.

Yesterday, my friend, Evan send me a copy of an artworks he made and featured my font, JUICE. Actually i never thought that someone would use my fonts on their artworks. So i am amazed with what Evan did to my font. Above is Evan's artworks. Go comment it, will ya?

Today i was kinda doin' nothing at the office and 'accidentally' search my name on Google just to know wether my JUICE font appeared on other side of the world. :p
So i found 2 good news from there.

HELVETICA : THE MOVIE

This is the 1:39 minutes of the Helvetica movie trailer, a film i'm dyin' to watch since i'm a BIG fan of typographic things and stuff.

Helvetica is an independent feature-length documentary film about typography and graphic design, centered around the typeface of the same name. Directed by Gary Hustwit, it was released in 2007 to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the typeface's introduction in 1957. Its content consists of a history of the typeface interspersed with candid interviews with leading graphic and type designers, including Wim Crouwel, Michael Bierut, Erik Spiekermann, and Massimo Vignelli.
The film aims to show Helvetica's beauty and ubiquity, and illuminate the personalities that are behind typefaces. It also explores the rift between modernists and postmodernists, with the latter expressing and explaining their criticisms of the famous typeface.

JUICE TYPEFAMILYSETS

This is the final shape of JUICE typefamilysets, a typeface i've made for my final exam.

The font itself was made specially for JUICE magazine, a free lifestyle magazine, published in Jakarta once a month. I'll place the copy of the magazine some times here in my blog.
It has 6 family type: JUICE Light, JUICE Regular, JUICE Bold, JUICE Light Italic, JUICE Italic, and JUICE Bold Italic.
